My Story

I was born in Germany in 1987, and I’ve always been drawn outside. Not in a casual way but in a way where I’d notice how a space made me feel before I even had the words for it. Gardens, landscapes, the way things grow and settle into place… that’s what always stayed with me.

I didn’t know it then, but that curiosity turned into direction. I went into a three-year apprenticeship in landscaping and horticulture and learned everything the hard way, on site, with my hands, through repetition, mistakes and a lot of respect for nature and the craft itself.
That’s where it stopped being just interest and became something deeper.

Over time, it shaped how I see everything. Not just gardens, but spaces, structure, atmosphere. Today I worked for luxury hotels around the world, creating landscapes that aren’t just designed to look good, but to be experienced by guests who arrive, slow down and feel something they didn’t expect.

For me, it’s still the same feeling I had as a kid. Just on a much bigger scale.

Landscaping Apprenticeship

I completed a 3-year apprenticeship in landscaping and horticulture in Germany, where I learned the trade step by step through hands-on work in real outdoor environments. It was a period that shaped not only my skills, but also my understanding of what it means to build and care for lasting landscapes.

Much of the training took place on construction-focused landscaping projects, where I worked on shaping outdoor spaces from the ground up. I learned how to build dry stone walls, construct patios and paved areas  and carry out concrete work for foundations and structural elements.

I also gained experience in building stairways and creating level changes within garden spaces, always focusing on stability, function and detail.

Alongside this, I was trained in operating diggers and other machinery, which gave me the ability to carry out excavation work safely and efficiently. These skills were often combined with planting and finishing work, bringing both structure and nature together in the same project.

Over time, I developed a strong understanding of how different elements of landscaping come together  from heavy construction work to fine planting and finishing details. The apprenticeship taught me discipline, precision and how to work with care in every stage of a project, from the first excavation to the final planted garden

A little bit extra about me

Alongside my work as Landscaper, I spent years working in hospitality, serving in more than 15 hotels, from small family-run establishments to high-end luxury properties. That experience gave me a strong understanding of guest expectations, service and the importance of detail in every interaction.

I also worked as an independent sales representative in the renewable energy sector, where I learned to communicate with clarity, build trust and understand value from different perspectives.

In addition, I built and managed multiple online stores, developing a deeper insight into marketing, branding, and digital customer behavior.

Today, all of these experiences come together in my work. They shape how I design and maintain landscapes, not only with a focus on structure and nature, but with a strong awareness of experience, perception and the people who move through the spaces I create.
